Below are questions that couples often have in the early stages of the planning process. If you have any questions that are not covered below, feel free to email me directly! I’d absolutely love to get to know you and make sure we’re the perfect fit.

How long have you been in business?

10 years! And what a beautiful decade it has been.

I follow you on social media and you are always on the go! Where are you from? Where are you based?

I split my time between Nashville, TN and Oxford, MS with quarterly visits to my hometown in California. I graduated from Ole Miss in 2011 and launched Eliza Kennard in January of 2014. Hotty Toddy!

What sets you apart from your competition? How would you describe your style?

I'm so passionate about the meaning behind the moments captured, not just the photography itself.  My work is unmistakable for its timeless, romantic and ethereal feel. I pride myself on both the quality of service and of the finished product, and truly love being such a huge part of each client experience.

Do you travel outside of the Southeast? Would you photograph my destination wedding?
I am passport ready to travel wherever your wedding takes me! I have photographed celebrations from the beaches of Mexico, to the heart of New York City, to the coast of California. I love the inspiration that comes with photographing in new places.

How does the inquiry process work?

Contact me as soon as possible with the details of your wedding, commission or partnership and I will respond within 24 hours. I love answering all of your preliminary questions and learning more about you over a cup of coffee, happy hour, or a phone call.

We love your work and want to book you for our wedding! What's next?
Once I receive a signed copy of your wedding contract and your 50% non refundable retainer – the date is secured! Please note that it is not unusual for me to receive several inquiries for the same date during peak wedding season, and therefore the date remains open until a contract is signed and the retainer is received.

What is a first look?

Your wedding day should be enjoyable and relaxing, not chaotic and rushed. Seeing each other before the wedding is a wise choice for several reasons. You will get to have a romantic first meeting without all your guests watching and I can capture your first emotions of seeing each other in even more detail. We will have more time for photos of the two of you and you will be able to have most of your photos done before the ceremony. It makes for a very relaxing day and more time with your guests.

Do you take candid or posed photos?

Both! I'm very directive and you'll know exactly what to do at all times. The most important thing to remember before we start shooting: just relax and be yourself!

How long does it take to receive my photos?
On average, lifestyle portraits take 2-3 weeks and weddings take 6-8 weeks for full completion. During peak seasons, editing can take longer. For portrait,
72 hour rush delivery is available upon request for 50% of your session rate. If you need to reschedule, there is a one-time grace period. If you need to reschedule more than once, there is a fee of $250. For weddings, there are no additional rush or rescheduling fees. Reach out to me directly with whatever you need!

Do I have permission to print the photos?

Yes! Part of your collection fee covers image ownership along with the release to print your digital photographs anywhere you wish for personal use. Your online gallery is automatically enabled for direct print orders to help make your lives easier but you absolutely do not have to use my printing services.

We are worried about feeling awkward. What are the engagement session details?

Engagement sessions are fantastic. They give me a chance to capture your love story in a more natural and relaxed environment. I love getting to know you and your fiancé in a natural, comfortable, and relaxed environment. Engagement sessions are the perfect way for you as a couple to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. You get to see me in action, laugh at all of my super corny jokes, ask any questions that come to mind as we shoot, and you'll of course totally fall in love with the memories we create together.

Where should we schedule our engagement session? What time of day is best? What if we have a destination request?
One of the greatest things about engagement sessions is the ability to be flexible on location. I highly recommend choosing locations that are important or significant to you. The best time of day for engagement sessions are during the first two hours after sunrise and during the last two hours before sunset. Your engagement session can absolutely be a destination and custom collections are available upon request. I travel all over the country documenting love stories!
